Abstract
Intravascular lithotripsy (IVL) is a relatively new technique for percutaneous management of calcified coronary lesions (CCLs). Though the data on safety and efficacy of IVL is still emerging, preliminary research has shown that the balloon-based monorail system has a shallow learning curve, lower acute complications and can modify both superficial & deep calcium. We hereby report a case, highlighting the challenges faced while treating CCLs with IVL in a highly tortuous vessel and discuss the potential complication of lithoplasty balloon rupture.
