Attitudes of Physiotherapy Students towards Research in Relation to Certain Demographic Variables

Abstract
The study was conducted to assess the attitude of physiotherapy students towards research in relation to gender, age, course of study and type of institution on five factor: Factor I (research usefulness), Factor II (research anxiety), Factor III (positive attitude), Factor IV (relevance to life), and Factor V (difficulty of research). Sample comprised of 70 students. Study revealed that mean scores of males were significantly higher than females on factor IV, females were having higher positive attitude than males; elder age group mean scores were significantly higher on factor I, factor III and factor IV. Post graduate students mean scores were higher on factor I, factor III and factor IV. Private college student’s mean score were significantly higher on factor I, factor III and factor IV.
