The study included all the inpatients diagnosed with an infectious disease and received at least one antibiotic. The patient data collection form was designed in order to collect the patient demographic details and details of antibiotic therapy and the details of the culture sensitivity test using hospital software (HIMS). Data collection was performed and the collected data were analysed using descriptive statistics and MS Excel. Results: A total of 74 patients were included in this study, among which 39 were male and 35 were female. Majority of the participants were among the age group of 60-75 years (29.73%).
