The purpose of this research was to study the influence of post-synthetic treatment of a granular mordenite of a high degree of crystallinity with a hierarchical porous structure in water vapour medium and aqueous solutions of citric acid. The conditions providing the increase of the modulus from 4.5 to 8.5 with a constant degree of crystallinity were specified. It was found that the volume of mesopores in the zeolite increases from 0.20 - 0.23 cm3/g indicating the decrease of micropore volume. The results showed that dealuminated granular H-form mordenites of a high degree of crystallinity with a hierarchical porous structure after the promotion of 0.3 wt% platinum exhibited high activity and selectivity in the hydroisomerisation of a model mixture of benzene-heptane into methylcyclopentane and n-heptane isomers.
