The Involvement of Children in the Arts during Their Leisure Time

Abstract
Aims: The present study focuses on the investigating of children's attitudes and beliefs about the role of the arts in their leisure time. Study Design: Mixed method research. Place and Duration of Study: Greece and Cyprus, between May 2014 and May 2016. Methodology: We included 3.117students (age range 9-12 years). Results: According to the results, children enjoy engaging in activities that bring them into contact with various forms of art, much less to other leisure activities.Gender differences and stereotypes of occupation also emerged.
