Abstract

Carbon is one of the most abundant and essential elements in the universe. Carbon sequestration refers to a process through which carbon present in the atmosphere is removed and subsequently stored, aiming to regulate climatic conditions. This approach plays a vital role in decreasing atmospheric carbon levels, and its significance is increasingly acknowledged as a necessary measure to combat the extraordinary changes in climate, predominantly caused by global warming and the resultant heating of the Earth's crust. Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) emerges as a highly promising technology for addressing climate change, as it effectively reduces carbon dioxide emissions originating from industrial activities, power generation, and various other anthropogenic sources.
