Advanced Squamous Cell Carcinoma of Gallbladder: A Case Report

Gallbladder carcinoma is the fifth most common gastro-intestinal neoplasm and the most common biliary tract malignancy in the world. Primary squamous cell carcinoma of the gallbladder is a rare entity comprising around 1%-3% of all primary gallbladder cancers. We report the case of a 72-year- old woman who was diagnosed with a locally invasive squamous cell carcinoma of the gallbladder. The tumor was unresectable and considered for palliative care in the form of endotherapy (SEMS) and chemotherapy.
